Not everyone can come up with ideas like the Blair Witch Project, Catfish and even more recently, La Casa Muda. These are movies we have come to admire for the their captivating and yet simple ingenuity. Experimental filmmaking, particularly, is a difficult concept for me to grasp. But when I see one – a good one – I admire the sheer dexterity that goes into making them.

I’ve imagined a million times what life must look like to a toddler. At times, even imagined what sense these little ones make of the world they bounce about in. As bizarre and baffling as any toddler’s behavior may seldom be to me, I can only stand in astonishment at their incomprehensible but exhilarating points of view.

Hide And Seek Toddler POV

Thank You Video: Director

Random Video From Director

One clever dad captured at least a little slice of his toddler’s insight during a delightful game of hide-and-seek. English filmmaker Daniel Brace strapped a head camera on 2-year-old Olivia, and let the game begin. You see her chasing him through the apartment, and the sweet squeals when she finally finds him.

It’s an adorable perspective – and her little voice and pitter-pattering feet are just priceless! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to capture all those moments from school, to their seat in the grocery cart, up until that moment when they spill their milk all over the table again?

What activity would you most like to see from your toddler’s point of view?

Hopefully, director Daniel Brace has re-taught a valuable lesson in filmmaking, at least to the struggling filmmaker still operating a cast and crew from under a mother’s basement – there’s hope – it’s only a little touch of genius that inspires life into the marble of the sculptor and into the painted canvass of the artist.
