Who would you cast?
It depends. The two actors have different personalities.
Brandi has a more reactive personality – her facial expressions are more definitive of what she’s going through – rolling her eyes, lip movement etc – we are engaged throughout.
Khalilah is more reserved. She draws us in steadily and then really moves us with the tears in the end.
So it really depends on the role and the context of the monologue. If any of these girls is in my city I’d love to cast them!
