However absurd, would you know why throughout this film I was constantly reminded of Prophet Elijah Muhammad’s doctrine on the origin of life on this planet? According to him, after black people arrived here from space:

A method of birth control was developed by a Black scientist known as Yakub, who envisioned making and teaching a nation of people who would be diametrically opposed to the Original People.

Anything profound about Prometheus, 2012? Except for my childish exuberance over explosions, I was disappointed. I thought I had paid to see something a little more grounded in scientific theory than Elijah Muhammad’s beliefs in the black brothers from space, instead I was subjected to a white version of that story.

Who engineered us? And why are they trying to kill us?

Is that all you’ve got? Sometimes I wonder why Hollywood is obsessed with space and destructive aliens? Then again, I seldom mind the narrow-mindedness and often, I get on with my popcorn, admiring the music and the bomb explosions that accompany them.

But, Prometheus 2012, is where hell really breaks loose for me. Some pale muscular humanoids from space happen to be our engineers – well, they created us! How fanciful and how scientifically religious? And lo, paintings of where these humanoids may have come from were found in Scotland – of all places – Scotland? If you didn’t know before, you are constantly reminded that you are watching a white movie by an English director!

Oh come on! Oh yes, come on. Prometheus 2012 is no science fiction. It is at best, a fantasy, even a propaganda – an undeniable reaction to Elijah Muhammad’s doctrine of the origin of life on planet Earth. Only, the prophet was closer to the scientific bargain – the first human was indeed African – and categorically Black, need I mention!

For Prometheus, there was absolutely nothing rational about the alternative possible worlds or futures proposed herein. Neither were the characters and the imaginary elements, especially the pale muscular male humanoids, within the context of the story, largely possible within scientifically established or scientifically postulated laws of nature.

If these Darwinists have succeeded in riding the world of a muscular white male Creator who stalks us day and night, then in their new movie, Prometheus, they have similarly succeeded in passing down this fantasy; the fantasy that the first man, may have been this pale muscular male humanoid who stalked a high ridge over Niagara Falls – this particular kind of Creator-morphed-Engineer is always surfacing, be it in Religion or in Science.

Rest assured, whoever these pale muscular male humanoid engineers are, Elijah Muhammad is in part, proverbially accurate in retrospect – they are indeed diametrically opposed to everything we stand for as superior beings and superior moral beings. For after all they have no morals in trying to destroy humankind.

But if you factor in the brutality of white people’s relationship with Blacks over the last three centuries, peradventure, it makes sense why these pale humanoids are trying to destroy human beings!

  1. That’s hilarious. I still want to see it out of curiosity. I remember reading about Prophet Elijah Muhammad’s beliefs about space in The Autobiography of Malcolm X.

  2. I thought I remembered Elijah Muhammad’s story during the movie. Still, i don’t know why white folks are soo terrified to face the truth of the black origin of all things.

As stupid as it may seem, Elijah Muhammad’s story is closer to the truth than the so called intelligent Ridley Scott Promethius – films like Promethius just make me think white people don’t really like black people – who they have come from – I mean, that’s hating a lot hate.

  3. Ben, would you say you misread the intentions behind the film earlier? Remeber when you wrote about the trailer –

“With this growing awareness about the true beginnings of Science, one of these days when a Jesus film is also remade, perhaps we will be offered the real Christ – a man whose feet were like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace (Rev.1:15).”

It’s funny after all. Isn’t it? The film was about the exact opposite of what you wished it would be.

  4. — Prometheus is a real fantasy of some people’s struggle to obtain complete ‘whiteness’ – Engineers. Engineers ma ass – so dumb to be sleeping in the middle of nowhere; freaking boring mazzerf-ckers.

  5. For me, this movie reminds of The Brother From Another Planet though… that was more in the spirit of Prophet Elijah Muhammad’s story.

  6. No sane engineer who creates something as profound as say, a black woman, would try to destroy it – how? Are you knuts?

That’s where Ridley Scott missed the boat for me. Everything else was fine except for the pale humanoid again – see that’s racist, a lack of acknowledgment of the facts 0f Science, or religion.

Then again, I’m Latino and if I made a movie about the beginning, I would like the first woman to be a pretty Latina – I wouldn’t call it Science fiction though, I would call it fantasy.

  7. If Nordic space aliens landed on the White House lawn and declared that they engineered the human race, you would probably scream about racism.

The reality is you are a black supremacist, and want to see blacks depicted as gods and masters and no one else. That is racism.

Why not just forget race and live your life as a human being, or even better a soul.

    • “The reality is you are a black supremacist, and want to see blacks depicted as gods and masters and no one else. That is racism.”
–> But it’s not racist for white people to accept the transitional idea that opposes the contrary rather then your complaint.

“Nordic space aliens landed on the White House lawn and declared that they engineered the human race.”
–> This may be you wet dream of the future, but why not try realism or something more constructive… ??

  8. Before the days of John the Baptist, the Kinddom of God suffered violence and that violence was taken by force. Prometheus is an infantile imagination! Let’s hope this nonsense does not continue.
