Paparazzi: Eye in the Dark is a romantic drama about an aspiring photographer (Van Vicker) whose accidental picture exposes an infamous murder mystery.

Filmed in 19 days, the film is credited by some as the film that could change the look and sound of Nollywood films, due to its more western approach to production quality and American filmmaker Tim Wilson’s (aka Black Magic Tim) role as cinematographer and editor.

Using tracks from Nigerian, Ghanaian, and American artists, the soundtrack includes Koby Maxwell’s Do It & Facebook Girl, Paul G’s Let It Flow & These Girls, and Irina’s So Free & Cega.

  1. It is shot better than a lot of Nollywood movies it seems. I hope it changes the game. Can’t wait tot see it.

  2. I like the story about the photographer. This could be really Nollywood’s or GhanaFilms’ awakening call. I hope to see it soon.

  3. The trailer definitely looks nice. Better than most stuff I have seen from Nollywood. Some trailers I have see before were just picture slides. Not to say that this wasn’t very good, I hope it can live up to the hype.

  4. Nollywood and GhanaFilms are too used to inserting popular hip-life music and musicians into their movies. It’s cheap advertisement. Some of the music does not in any way enhance the mood or scenery.
Black movies do it here too. Be putting Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, etc. just to mention a few of the real bad ones! Someone should tell’em! It’s about time to cast some real up and coming actors/resses for every single role. Musicians cannot just buy themselves into movies. It ruins it. Even Justin Timb. in Social Network was well cast. So there, time to do some real movies!
