It was just announced that actress and former fashion model Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, Eastwick, Rollerball) will star alongside Perry in his upcoming film Good Deeds which will start shooting next week on April 25 in Atlanta. Romijn will play a former corporate executive who prefers motherhood, says Deadline.
Reteaming with Perry for Deeds are Thandie Newton (For Colored Girls, Crash, The Pursuit of Happyness, Mission: Impossible 2), Phylicia Rashad (For Colored Girls, The Cosby Show, Just Wright, Frankie & Alice), Gabrielle Union (Daddy’s Little Girls, Cadillac Records, Bad Boys II), Brian White (I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Stomp the Yard, The Heart Specialist), and Eddie Cibrian (Sunset Beach, Third Watch, Invasion, CSI: Miami, Not Easily Broken).
Jamie Kennedy (Ghost Whisperer, Scream, Malibu’s Most Wanted) will also star, while Keesha Sharp (Girlfriends) is rumored to act in Deeds.
The message is crystal clear: Tyler Perry is a one-man, movie-making machine, so if you want to act, you better jump on board or else get left behind!

Is this a remake of the remake Mr. Deeds?
I didn’t know Mr. Deeds was a remake. Hmm… no but I think Good Deeds is a play or something like that.
TP wrote Good Deeds as an original screenplay, so no play adaptation this time.
I thought Thandie Newton was better than these Tyler Perry plays. But hey, ev’body lu’v some money.
