Prior to 2016, Forbes magazine – one time, a respected nonpartisan business magazine – in their October 2010 cover story went where no one had yet dared to go by asserting that Barack Obama was not only a foreigner; he was governing as a foreigner, with a foreigner’s agenda.
Even conservative business readers of Forbes were astonished by the lengthy article by the right-wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza (the co-director of 2016), who seriously argued that Obama’s political agenda had been shaped by Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. – a so called politically radical Muslim.
Obviously, D’Souza doesn’t know anything about the Kenyan politician and economist: a man who left Barack Obama when he was only two, and whom Obama saw only one other time in his life – when he was but ten. Dinesh D’Souza himself has never talked to Obama Sr. nor has he engaged Obama, Jr. in any conversation. How could he claim he knows the two?
But, the whole import of D’Souza’s documentary, 2016, is simple:

If you didn’t know D’Souza, you would think him a low-information voter, otherwise known as an idiot! But then you realize, he’s the President of King’s College, New York; and you are immediately stupefied. Anyway, he’s the co-director, co-writer and star of this fallacious documentary on Barack Obama II.
So, who knew that in putting forth his stimulus package, auto bailout, health-care reform, and Wall Street reforms, Barack Obama was merely following a plan mapped out for him fifty years ago by a philandering Kenyan socialist father? Nobody in his right mind would believe that. Well, nobody but Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee – two leading Republicans, allegedly sane, one of them who just tried running for president.
Dinesh D’Souza’s claim to authority on the subject of ‘who Obama is’ is not new. He claims authenticity for his views on Obama Sr. because he is Indian and purports he understands colonial Africa and its people because he understands colonial India and Indians. More desperate in his view and fundamental to his central dogma is the fallacy that political agenda is genetically transmittable – Barack Obama II has through birth inherited from his dad an anti-colonial socialist political gene. Either Dinesh D’Souza is ignorant or he is racist – he hates Black people.
In effect, the whole premise of this disingenuous propaganda on the president of the USA is based on one of two things – first, a lack of understanding of the biology of procreation and two, a racist perspective. The take away message is equally stupid; the charge of ‘anti-colonialism’ itself – if it were true – against the president doesn’t make an iota of sense.

Does America support colonialism? No! The USA equally broke from the same Brits that colonized India, Kenya and several parts of the world. How then is anti-colonialism a nip in the bud for capitalism, and for globalization?
You will be amazed at how many prominent republicans have caught this D’Souza fever. For example, Newt Gingrich – the disgraced former House Speaker – in an attempt to become a possible challenger to Obama, publicly praised D’Souza’s analysis – and then went on to draw what was, to him, the obvious conclusion:

Amazing! How these guys manage to be utterly uninformed and still be taken seriously, I don’t know. Surely, even most people in Arkansas must know that young Barack Obama did not grow up in Kenya. He grew up in Hawaii and Indonesia, a personal story told at great length in his memoir, Dreams from My Father. Obama didn’t visit Kenya until he was in his twenties, long after his father, whom he had met only twice – and his grandfather – whom he had never met – were dead!
As African-Americans in this country we understand the charges full well. Wrongfully charge Barack Obama for being an anti-colonialist and a Muslim perhaps, and you’ve succeeded in painting Obama as a militant black man – a follower of Malcolm X who’s gathering his Negro Army to overthrow the protestant white man’s grip on the USA. Wrongfully charge Obama for being anti-capitalist and you remind racist America of a Black man fighting for his Negro Army to be eternal beneficiaries of welfare. Wrongfully charge Obama for being anti-globalization and you’ve stoked the fire in bigoted Americans who believe that God has given America the sole inalienable right to be masters of the world!
For a long time these charges have had little effect in mainstream America! Mainly because the very actions of the man they charge is in stark contrast to them. Obama is Christian, he rarely talks about Black people; hell he bailed out the auto industry and Wall Street. The charges don’t stick.
So, how do you plaster Barack Obama with all these charges so you can possibly ignite racial hatred against black people in America, harness white energy and pull all white Americans to vote Mitt Romney into power?
The answer is simple, fabricate lies about his African father, and link Barack Obama to them all! How detestable!
