Created, written, and produced by Darralynn Huston (The Music Makers, Hughes’ Dream Harlem), The Girls Bathroom is a new web series that centers around four affluent teenage girls – Blondie, Brownie, Noir, and Red – who are entering their senior year of high school. Watch episode one (below).
The Girls’ Bathroom is featured on Chapter 3 TV.
Chapter3.tv is a Detroit and New York-based network of original and branded short-form programs specifically produced for mobile device viewing. The first season of slated shows are targeted to women 18-45 years old and planning a soft launch in the Fall of 2011.
The web series is one of few media programs that spotlights young black women and gives them the opportunity to develop as actors. Hopefully more directors, writers, and producers will follow in Huston’s footsteps and create more content to develop our youth for positions in film and television media.
Good to see some black teenagers!
Don’t know about watching teenagers in the bathroom… but I must say, my eyes were wet when I saw these beautiful black teens acting like is their first nature!
Pretty good acting. Hopefully they get to play some part in some new Tyler Perry films.
Yo, Tyler Perry? These chicks can do better.
The pictures look nice! Great acting by the teens. Black film has a future afterall.
Oh ma boos… yea arh!
