Kwame Nkrumah was Power Hungry: Good!

There’s never been a great leader in history who’s never been hungry and ambitious. Ambitious leaders are often called Power Hungry by their unintelligent opponents. And when the unintelligent opponents finally grab unto power, by hook or crook, their hunger is shown rather in their bellies than in ambition!

The Danquah-Busia Tradition, which opposed Nkrumah’s Regime in Ghana, was and continues to be a Belly Hungry Tradition.

Nkrumah on the other hand, was a leader, and he tried to be a great leader. Nkrumah had the Ambition to become a great leader, but alas, he was nipped in the bud, no doubt. All leaders, even Nkrumah, must overcome, by hook or crook, such belly-hungry traditions in order to become Great Leaders.

~ Success is a horrible teacher. It seduces the ignorant into thinking that he can’t lose. It seduces the intellectual into thinking that he must win. Success corrupts; Only usefulness exalts. ~ WP. 1. You said it all, “All leaders, even Nkrumah, must overcome, by hook or crook, such belly-hungry traditions in order to become Great Leaders.”

    • The picture is worth a thousand words. Many, many of us, are unaware of the tribal impositions of Europe in Africa… and with that we begin the diagnosis of our problems from all the wrong places!

  2. In other words, Dade Afre Akufu, a Great Leader is defined by the number of Belly-Hungry Opposing Traditions that She Overcomes!

  3. Long after they are gone (have they though?) we seem to revel in this chaos of artificial boundaries as rightfully ours. Real question is…where do we right the wrongs from, the starting point?

    • Kingsley Gbeho, Our first step is to get over our denialism. How to do this is important, since it is not easy. Our elites, the more educated than his ancestors (the Metha), are paid to swim in this denialism. They are paid to lead us to swim in these waters of denialism. The first step then is to figure out how to convince the masses, or a significant group of people who can lead the rest, to admit that Africa is occupied by European terrorists!
