Mr. Ceesay is the foremost Gambian journalist who unearthed and documented the arbitrary arrest, detention, torture and killings of Gambians by Pres. Yaya Jammeh and his regime since 1994. He used to report for the opposition newspaper Foroyaa (www.foroyaa.gm) until 2012 when he was tipped off of an attempted kidnapping by State agents. He fled into Senegal and has since relocated to the Netherlands. In the documentary, he tells his story.
Fabakary continues his work to expose the atrocities of Yaya Jammeh and attached is his Facebook link where he frequently shares information on the happenings in the Gambia.
