A newly empowered economic trading block in Africa, newly resurgent, self-confident and aware of its historically sacred mission could serve as the guarantor of African political and economic sovereignty, and would be known as the African Union.
This new Union will also reserve the right to extend its sphere of influence to the Americas where the sons and daughters of Africa, carried there through now fault of theirs – slavery – live. No form of economic prosperity on African soil should be denied these distant cousins.
In conclusion, we will state that the experiences of the Ukraine shows that international norms are feckless words on paper, as the West has demonstrated in recognizing time over time, the overthrow of democratically elected governments across the globe, particularly in Africa.
Facts are established on the ground, not on a piece of paper. Africa should analyze and learn her lessons well from Mr. Putin of Russia. We should be ready to take our place as an independent trading block in the new global political architecture of diverse and influential power blocks (DEBs). The ideological aberrations of the twentieth century must end.
The world has returned to the natural dynamics of great powers as it has always been for much of human history. Will Africa be an important term in the new geopolitical Lagrangian that will determine the dynamics of the new global political systems architecture?
We better be or we will cease to be a historical people.
