It is time that Ga Chiefs and Clan Heads woke up to the neocolonialism of the Ghana-USA-Government (USAFRICOM). It is time for Ga Stool Lands, which have now been earmarked for America’s New Ghana Military Base, to be sold to private Ghanaian citizens for use as residential properties and recreational facilities (like soccer fields).

Ga Chiefs and Clan Heads can jump-start a new revolution for freedom in the spirit of Sgt. Adjetey and Nii Boney. Sell the airport lands. Sell any empty space around, and inside, the airport including the streets! And use the money to deploy your land guards (Asafo) there!

And when the Ghana-USA-Government wakes up, take them to court. In the meanwhile continue selling the land to the public. There are plenty men and women looking for land to buy to build houses and nice football parks. And these men and women will do whatever it takes to make sure the building of the American base be re-thought and delayed (at least).

Wake up Teshie. Wake up Labadi. Please, Ga Chiefs and Clan Heads, it is now your duty to buy the rest of the country some time while we take this tribal government to the Supreme Court (if that is): It has no right to give Ga traditional lands to foreigners to build an Asafo there. The only Asafo that can dock on Ga land must be Ga or something like it. Or it is war. USAFRICOM is not a Ga Asafo.

Amenuti Narmer
"Success without usefulness is a dangerous mentor. It seduces the ignorant into believing he cannot lose, and it misleads the intellectual into thinking he must always win. Success corrupts; only usefulness exalts." — WP. Narmer Amenuti (whose name translates to Dances With Lions) was born by the river, deep within the heartlands of Ghana, in Ntoaboma. A public intellectual from the Sankoré School of Critical Theory, he was trained and awarded the highest honor of Warrior Philosopher at the Temple of Narmer. As a cultural critic and a Guan rhythmmaker, Amenuti is a dilettante, a dissident, and a gadfly. He eschews promotional intellectualism and maintains strict anonymity, inviting both scholars and laypeople into open and honest debate. He reads every comment.
