In Californication, Hank Moody (David Duchovny) is living the white boy’s fantasy. A famous rapper desperately wants to hang out with him. A sexy black woman desperately wants to sleep with him.
In fact, early in the episode, Hank and Kali (Meagan Good) try to join the mile high club.
[E]nter Samurai Apocalypse (RZA from Wu-Tang) – a famous rapper trying to break into film (sound familiar?).
RZA brings instant personality to Samurai Apocalypse, especially when he talks of his butler, an old white man, who he calls Alfred.

I don’t even know that mother*cker’s real name I just call him Alfred. And he snaps right to it. I don’t even know if I pay this mother*cker. He might be my slave. -Samurai [/sws_blockquote_endquote]
He wants Hank to write his movie Santa Monica Cop which he insists is nothing like Beverly Hills Cop.
In a twist, Samurai’s girlfriend turns out to be Kali (Meagan Good). Though it’s hard to believe that a rich, sexy, Kali would cheat on her rapper boyfriend with a so-so Hollywood writer.
It could happen, but maybe it belongs somewhere in that fantasy box.
[O]verall, the first episode of Season 5, much like previous seasons of Showtime’s hit comedy drama, is raw, edgy, and at times downright shocking.
But I wouldn’t recommend the show for everyone. The sex scenes are pretty explicit, so it definitely earns its MA rating.
But beyond the very rampant raunchiness, if you’re able to look that far, lies a compelling story and witty writing.
californication season 5 episode 3 what’s the title of song in 10:49, when Hank arrived to raper’s house??
I’m looking for this song too,but i can’t find it.
I find the whole plotline of season 5 derivative, cliched and stereotypical. It’s not edgy. Edgy would be leaving out all the stereotypes and writing the character played by RZA opposite to everyone’s idea of how a black impresario should speak and act.
