prison debate team, Ted Cruz
A New York prison debate team (left) beat the Harvard debate team (right) in a head-to-head competition.

Ted Cruz, a Republican presidential candidate in the U.S., was a champion debater at Princeton University, an Ivy League school.

Harvard University, also an Ivy League school, has a better academic reputation than Princeton.

In fact, the Harvard debate team had won three of four American Parliamentary Debate Association national championships.

The debaters at Harvard University took on the debate team at a New York prison, the Eastern New York Correctional Facility.

Handily and unanimously, the prisoners defeated the Harvard University debaters.

If Harvard debaters are not smarter than debaters in prison and Princeton is inferior to Harvard, then Ted Cruz is not smarter than a prisoner.

Maybe the U.S. presidential process, or democracy in general, has nothing to do with who is smart–only who has money or connections?

Maybe the prisoners should have a chance to do something productive with their lives instead of being locked up in cages?

Maybe prisoners should run for president, or at least have the right to vote?

Shouldn’t smart people be allowed to vote?

  1. If our mentally impared Canadian Ted Cruz had stayed in Canada where he came from their universal healthcare could have provided him with the psychiatric treatment that he desperately needs.

  2. Cruz would’ve taken the Universal Healthcare than try to shutdown the Canadian government in an attempt to prevent others from having healthcare.

  3. Trump is a Nazi, using fear and racism to obtain power, this is not American. Cruz isn’t much better.

Trump = Hitler. Cruz = Goebbels.

Trump needs to rely on these large brain-washing rallies to garner up support, just like Hitler. I don’t blame them though, what else is there to talk about? What other card can they play? Obama has thrived in office.

Dow over 17,000, record corporate profits, 5% growth, best year for jobs since 1999, consumer confidence up, deficit down 60% in 2014, gas prices low, health insurance cheaper than ever ($85/month), car insurance cheaper than ever ($25/month from Insurance Panda), the 1% starting to be taxed more… all while republicans bleated about Benghazi took pointless votes to repeal the ACA, and did nothing for anybody except the top one percent.

It turns out that Obama is indeed “the adult in the room,” and yes, the Chess Master. Hillary will keep the good times rolling, any republican will screw it up. Simple as that.

  4. Mr. Cruz is finding it difficult to pick what side of the road he wants to be on. He wants all of Trumps votes when Trump crashes or he wants to be VP, either way he loses. Each subject Trump makes as an issue, Cruz cringes because he has to make a decision on what side he’s on and its hard to look a gifted horse in the eye. Cruz is an idiot, racist and bigot in disguise.

  5. Don’t sleep on this self hating clown his views aren’t that far off from trump. Republicans are running around trying to do damage control saying Trump isn’t a representation of the republican party as a whole, yet Ted Cruz follows right in line giving us a clear view of the mindset of the common American.

  6. With all the attention being paid to Fuckface Von Clownstick it’s important to take a moment to remember the other morons who are running for the Republican Presidential nomination.

Morons like Ted Cruz, who managed to be wrong about every single point about global warming in a recent interview. Every point. I mean, that’s impressive.

It’s amazing the bullshit that simply falls out of his mouth. This isn’t the nitty gritty of temperature measurements or accurate statistical modeling, he’s just saying stupid wrong shit and making ad hominem attacks.

I love how he claims all this money is involved in scientific research. Yes, we’ve all seen those climatologists in their Ferrari’s lighting Cuban cigars with $100 bills. Anyone in academia knows that research is where the BIG bucks are.

“Don’t the energy companies throw assloads of cash at you guys?”

“Ninja smoke!!” (throws gas bomb onto floor)

  7. I listened to an interview on NPR this morning with Republican candidate Ted Cruze, this guy is so stupid he made my teeth hurt listning to him. He seems to live in his own little fantasy land where we can drop some form of magical anti terrorist bomb and blow up all the bad guys with it. It pains me that he is considered less wacko then the leading contender for his partys nomination (Trump)

  8. The establishment/RINOs played a huge part in 2008 and again in 2012 manipulating things to get conservatives to turn on each other, to eat their own so they could get McCain nominated and then Romney 4 years later, they’re doing it again for 2016 and conservatives are falling into the same trap all over again. The lamestream media keeps pounding the move to the left drum too and RINOs eat that right up. The RINOs are responsible for the creation of Trump but they don’t care if hag hillary wins so long as no conservative or Trump wins. They are responsible for the candidates that have been running and they’re too stupid to realize it. My crystal ball says some pretty stupid people in the republican party are going to hand hag hillary a gift wrapped early 2016 Christmas present if they don’t quit what they’re doing and concentrate on the real enemy, hag hillary.

  9. Excerpt… We’ve all done stupid things as teenagers and young adults. However, if you’re Ted Cruz and you’re running for president, you may need to pay off some people to keep them quiet.

Successful screen writer Craig Mazin attended Princeton and was actually roommates with good ‘ole Teddy. At their first meeting, Mazin noted Cruz was carrying a book titled Was Karl Marx a Satanist?

Another former schoolmate, Erik Leitch noted Cruz was someone who loved to argue just for the sake of arguing.

“The only point of Ted talking to you was to convince you of the rightness of his views.” …
